General Information
We serve approximately 250 7th and 8th graders from Rock Island and Mercer Counties. Our staff consists of twenty-two highly qualified teachers and a guidance counselor; because our building also includes the Senior High, we benefit by sharing some of the Senior High teachers which allows us to offer a rich curriculum. In addition to the core courses of English, mathematics, science, and social studies, we offer students instruction in art, band, chorus, computers, health, and physical education. We also offer time for re-teaching concepts in math and reading for those students who need assistance
Our school offers a full range of activities, including basketball, cheerleading, drama, football, robotics club, scholastic bowl, student council, track, volleyball, and wrestling. Students are encouraged to take advantage of these opportunities, which teach collaboration, perseverance, and teamwork.
School Hours: 7:40AM - 2:30PM
Attendance: Please phone (309) 593-2135 or email Mrs. Diehl, the school secretary when your student is ill or when your student will need to leave/arrive late because of an appointment.
