Athletics

Sherrard Junior High School offers a variety of competitive sports to our students including:  Football, Volleyball, Cheerleading, Boy’s and Girl’s Basketball, Wrestling, and Boy’s and Girl’s Track.  Sherrard Junior High School belongs to the Prarieland Athletic Conference. All junior high sports are played at the Sherrard Jr. Sr. High School Campus, 4701 - 176th Ave, Sherrard.  

Sports Physical

All students participating in any sport must have a current physical on file before they are allowed to tryout and/or practice. Physicals are active for one calendar year plus 30 days from the date of the physical.  If the physical expires during the middle of a sport season, they will not be allowed to practice or play until a new physical is received.  The IHSA sport physical form can be picked up in the high school office or at the link below.  Please contact the athletic office or school nurse if you have any questions.
